Blending a futuristic minimalist design, the Marantz AV8805 produces superb surround sound from the latest 3D audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro 3D decoding. Auro 3D will be added via a future firmware update at no extra charge. Furthermore, thanks to in total eight top-of-the-line, premium grade AK4490 32-bit stereo DACs across all channels, the AV8805 perfects audio quality for optimal fidelity.
- As a result of rigorous mechanical testing, the Marantz AV8805 offers an outstanding construction for the best, unaltered music and movie playback. The highly rigid base chassis - the foundation for all circuit boards carrying the sensible audio signal – leaves no chance for microphonic effects through unwanted vibration. The oversized toroidal transformer feeding the big main capacitors is set on an extra 5mm aluminium pedestal for extra stability. All the electronics are also supported by the copper plating on the main chassis, which guarantees best ground connection at any point, and significantly improves Signal to Noise behaviour. In total 17 single board HDAM modules are used to achieve the best channel separation for reference-setting audio performance. Finally, everything is well covered by a heavy top lid constructed out of three pieces.
